Several weeks ago we noticed something odd about Cocoa, the preemie calf. Take a look at that face.
Look a little closer. Note the underbite and the exposed teeth.
It’s not a huge underbite, but it definitely affects what I used to think of as her sweet face.
If she were my child, I’d start socking money away in a savings account for orthodontics.
Orthodontics for a calf? I don’t think so.
Maybe she’ll grow out of it . . . eventually.
One can hope. In the meantime, we’re rethinking her name. Meet Bubba, the calf formerly known as Cocoa.
If we’re going to deal with stereotypes of bad teeth 🙂 shouldn’t we give him a British-ish name?
Churchill?
Guvna?
Good point. Is there a feminine alternative?
Princess Margaret
Did the underbite cause any problems? I have one about 1.5 weeks old with an underbite. Would love to hear any input you might have!
How did the calf with underbite turn out? We just bought one with the same ugly smile.
Steve – The calf outgrew the underbite and is fine now. She had her first calf in March – no underbite.
